The R Fur Kids web site is created for the adoptive parents of our FuzzyWuzzy puppies and our adorable Shorkie puppies. Our site allows the registered users to upload information about their puppies and share it. For instructions on using our site, refer to the information below:

 

How do I register? 

By registering, you get access to the entire website. There is a simple registration process that will take only a few moments. To register follow these steps:

Step 1: Click on the Login link at the left-hand side and then on the Register link at the bottom of the page. The registration form will show up.


We will ask for your name, e-mail address, and you'll get to pick a username and password. Your username must be unique and cannot be changed. It is important that you give us a valid e-mail address (one you can receive e-mail at PLEASE USE THE EMAIL ADDRESS YOU USED WHEN YOU ADOPTED YOUR BABY FROM US. IF YOU NO LONGER USE THAT EMAIL ADDRESS PLEASE LET US KNOW BEFORE YOU REGISTER...). Your e-mail address will be used strictly for your registration confirmation or to send your username/password, per your request. ALL EMAILS WILL BE VERIFIED BEFORE YOUR PHOTOS AND INFORMATION WILL BE APPROVED FOR THE SITE.


Step 2: Look for and open the Registration Confirmation e-mail. Click on the link in the e-mail. This confirms that you used a valid and active e-mail address.  Note that you should use an e-mail address that will allow you to check a spam folder if you have spam filtering.

 

I have completed the registration process. What should I do to start using the site?

To log in, click on the "Login" link on the left-hand side of the page.
Enter your username and password and click the "Login" button. When you log in, you will be asked if you want your browser to remember your identity. If you make this choice, you will get a permanent file, called "cookie" placed on your computer and the system will remeber your username. This feature is convenient if you use it on your office computer, but you should avoid it on a public machine.

 

Help! I have lost my account information?

If you have forgotten your username or password, click on the "Forgot your Username" or "Forgot your Password" link at the bottom of the Login page. Enter your email address and click the Submit button. We will email your account information to the email address you provided during registration.

 

How do I add a new puppy to my puppies list?

Click on the My Puppies link on the left-hand side of the page. You will see a list of all your puppies. To add a new puppy, click on the "Add" icon in the top right-hand corner of the page. We will ask you to provide some information about the puppy - name, date of birth, breed, and a description. You may upload a picture of the puppy and provide a description of the picture as well. The picture you upload will be the "default" picture for that puppy. The "default" picture is the picture that our visitors see when they browse our site. You may skip the picture upload and upload a picture later or you may change the default picture through the "Picture Manager" later on. Note: All newly added puppies and pictures are subject to approval.

 

How do I edit the information of a puppy?

To edit your puppy's information, go to My Puppies list by clicking on the My Puppies link on the left-hand side of the page. Your puppies list will be displayed. Click on the puppy's name. You will be navigated to the Puppy's Profile page. Click on the Edit button on the top right-hand corner. Modify the displayed information and submit your changes by clicking on the Save button.

 

How can I upload additional pictures of my puppy?

To upload new pictures of your puppy, go to My Puppies list by clicking on the My Puppies link on the left-hand side of the page. Your puppies list will be displayed. Click on the puppy's name. You will be navigated to the Puppy's Profile page. Click on the Pictures button on the top right-hand corner. You will be navigated to the Pictures Manager for this puppy. Click on the Upload button. Select a picture and enter a description. We will ask you if you want this picture to be included into our contest. If you select to include this picture in the contest and your puppy is entered in our annual poll, our visitors will be able to see this picture and vote for your puppy. Note: All newly added pictures are subject to approval.

 

How do I edit a picture's description or add a pictures to the puppies's contest?

To edit a picture's description or add a picture to the puppies' contest, go to My Puppies list by clicking on the My Puppies link on the left-hand side of the page. Your puppies list will be displayed. Click on the puppy's name. You will be navigated to the Puppy's Profile page. Click on the Pictures button on the top right-hand corner. You will be navigated to the Pictures Manager for this puppy. Select the picture you would like to edit by selecting the checkbox under the picture and click on the Edit button. Modify the description or select the checkbox to include the picture into our contest. If you select to include this picture in the contest and your puppy is entered in our annual poll, our visitors will be able to see this picture and vote for your puppy. Note: All newly added pictures are subject to approval.

 

How do I change the default picture of my puppy?

The default picture is the picture our visitor see when browsing our site. To change the default picture of a puppy, , go to My Puppies list by clicking on the My Puppies link on the left-hand side of the page. Your puppies list will be displayed. Click on the puppy's name. You will be navigated to the Puppy's Profile page. Click on the Pictures button on the top right-hand corner. You will be navigated to the Pictures Manager for this puppy. Select the picture you would like to edit by selecting the checkbox under the picture and click on the Default button. 

 

How do I delete a picture?

To delete a picture, go to My Puppies list by clicking on the My Puppies link on the left-hand side of the page. Your puppies list will be displayed. Click on the puppy's name. You will be navigated to the Puppy's Profile page. Click on the Pictures button on the top right-hand corner. You will be navigated to the Pictures Manager for this puppy. Select the picture you would like to delete by selecting the checkbox under the picture and click on the Delete button. Confirm the removal.

 

How do I remove a puppy from my puppies list?

To remove a puppy, go to My Puppies list by clicking on the My Puppies link on the left-hand side of the page. Your puppies list will be displayed. Click on the puppy's name. You will be navigated to the Puppy's Profile page. Click on the Delete button on the top right-hand corner. Confirm the removal.

 

How do I see all adopted Shorkies?

To see a list of all adopted Shorkies, click on the Adopted Shorkies link on the left-hand side of the page. You will see a list of puppies. You can browse all puppies by using the navigation link at the bottom of the page. Note: The pagination link will not appear if there are no more than ten adopted Shorkies in our database.

 

How do I see all adopted Fuzzy Wuzzies?

To see a list of all adopted Fuzzy Wuzzies, click on the Adopted Fuzzy Wuzzies link on the left-hand side of the page. You will see a list of puppies. You can browse all puppies by using the navigation link at the bottom of the page. Note: The pagination link will not appear if there are no more than ten adopted Fuzzy Wuzzies in our database.

 

How do I see a puppy's profile?

You can find additional information for a puppy, by clicking on the puppy's name. If you are the owner of the puppy, you will see a set of buttons on the top right-hand corner of the page, which will allow you to manage the puppy's profile.

 

How do I vote for my favorite Shorkie?

To vote for your favorite Shorkie, click on the Shorkie Contest link on the left-hand side of the page. Select the current contest (from the current year). You will see a list of Shorkies participating in our contest. Select the radio button next to your favorite Shorkie and click on the Vote button.

 

How do I see the results of a Shorkies' contest?

After the Shorkies' contest has ended, the results will be accessible from the Shorkies' Poll Archive page. To navigate to this page, click on the Shorkie Contest link on the left-hand side of the page. Select the contest you are interested in. Click on the View Result link.

 

How do I vote for my favorite Fuzzy Wuzzy?

To vote for your favorite Fuzzy Wuzzy, click on the Fuzzy Wuzzy Contest link on the left-hand side of the page. Select the current contest (from the current year). You will see a list of Fuzzy Wuzzies participating in our contest. Select the radio button next to your favorite Fuzzy Wuzzy and click on the Vote button.

 

How do I see the results of a Fuzzy Wuzzies' contest?

After the Fuzzy Wuzzies' contest has ended, the results will be accessible from the Fuzzy Wuzzies' Poll Archive page. To navigate to this page, click on the Fuzzy Wuzzies' Contest link on the left-hand side of the page. Select the contest you are interested in. Click on the View Result link.
